As there are different types of skin diseases, it becomes tough to identify the type only by looking at your skin condition. So, always consult a dermatologist to find out what kind of skin disease you have to adopt the right course of treatment.
Here are the most common types of skin diseases:
#Rashes: A rash is a portion of red and inflamed skin or a group of spots. It can cause due to allergy, infection, irritation, structural defects or underlying diseases like malfunctioning oil glands or blocked pores.
#Viral infections: These type of skin disease occur when a virus enters and affect your skin’s inner layer. Warts, shingles and herpes simplex are viral infections.
#Bacterial infections: Staphylococci streptococci is the common bacteria to cause skin infections. The bacteria infect the deeper layers of your skin, the topmost layer of your skin and hair follicles. If you do not treat this infection on time, the bacterial infections may pass throughout your body. Use antibiotics to cure bacterial infections.
#Fungal infections: Do you know that fungi are always present on the exterior of your skin? They are nontoxic infections, which is caused due to the passage of these organisms inside your body. Fungal infections affect your skin, hair and nails. Ringworm, lock itch and athletics’ foot are the common systems of fungal infections.
#Parasitic infections: These type of skin infections are caused due to scabies and lice.
#Pigmentation disease: Loss of pigmentation on your skin can be caused due to cells malfunctioning, exposure to chemicals or cold and absence of melanocytes.
