What are the Different Procedures for Cheek Correction?

# Cheek augmentation- Also referred to as malar implants surgery, this method gives a sculpted and defined cheekbones. In order to do this, synthetic implants are placed over the natural cheekbones. # Fat injection- People with recessed, fat and sunken cheeks can select fat injection method. As there is a slight chance of side effects, fat injection is considered safer in compared to other procedures.
# Cheekbone shaving- This is the opposite of cheek augmentation. During this procedure, some part of the cheekbones is shaved to create a symmetry in the face. As this is a complex procedure for cheek correction, it requires general anesthesia.
# Removal of Buccal fat pad- Similar to liposuction, in this procedure fat is removed by making small incisions on the inside of the cheeks. It limits scarring and shows prominent cheekbones.
# Facial fillers- Similar to fat injections, except for the fact that fillers are used. These are either biodegradable or non-biodegradable fillers. If you choose biodegradable fillers like hyaluronic acid, it is going to fade away in a couple of years. Whereas, if you select non-biodegradable filler like bio-alcamid, the fillers stay permanently in place.
